Story Behind the Art

Whenever I visualise this place it’s always from an aerial view. The Hill of Tara is an ancient ceremonial and burial site in Co. Meath. It’s a magical and mysterious place of huge historical interest. It’s probably best known as the inauguration site of the ancient High Kings of Ireland. It's a pretty special place and close enough for me to visit regularly.

Materials and Techniques

This painting was created using oils and cold wax using a palette knife to create a very tactile piece. Archival museum quality limited edition prints also available on this one.
